CALL FOR PAPERS

2.5 days of cutting-edge innovation for contractors

ATLANTA, GA | OCTOBER 3-5, 2022

The New Flat Rate is actively accepting speaking proposals for our annual 2022 event “Business Uncensored”. If you’re an expert with tactical teaching abilities to contractors, intensive experience, or trade-jedi-wisdom to share, we want to hear from you.

We’re interested in advanced level talks in any of these topics and more: Marketing for Contractors, Contingency Planning, Pay Scales, Inventory Management, Communication, Tracking and Analytics for business evaluation methods, Lack of Product Dilemma, Future of the Trades, and more.

To be considered for a speaking spot, please fill out the form below. We receive a lot of submissions and the process is highly competitive. Check out the list below on how to get your session proposal noticed.

1) PRESENT AN ORIGINAL IDEA

your proposed talk should be authentic and applicable for HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing Contractors.

2) Limit the scope

In 45 minutes, you won’t be able to cover everything about your topic. Instead, pick a specific, useful aspect.

3) INCLUDE A CASE STUDY

We’re more likely to consider proposals that include practical case studies and/or examples.

4) DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS

Include as much information as possible about the lesson you’ll teach/share.

5) NO SALES PITCHES

Your personal brand or story is less interesting than the awesome tips and tactics you have to share.

6) GREAT BRANDS

Being with one, or being able to bring a strong brand with you to your talk does increase your chances for acceptance.

7) EASY TAKEAWAYS

Attendees want to walk away with a plan of action. Be sure to include specific lessons you’ll teach that aren’t too generic or broad.

HOW TO GET YOUR APPLICATION NOTICED

Please keep your description to 50 words. Be concise but explain the importance of the topic and what detailed lessons you will teach. Include 3-4 bullets of what someone will be able to do better or different because of your session. For example:

At the end of this session, you will be able to:
