Have you tried everything else? As Contractors we’ve been offered so many “solutions” without the success… I promise this is different.

– Rodney Koop | Founder of The New Flat Rate | Service Contractor / Thrown in the truck at 15

Thank you so much for your interest in The New Flat Rate. We’re so excited you contacted us.

I know what it’s like to be frustrated, struggling, and trying to do the right thing in your business.

Starting out as a contractor, the idea of owning my own company was an exciting endeavor.

Being in charge of the books, the trucks, and the time had to be the dream of anyone who had

worked for other people their entire life. I soon found out that running a contracting business

took a lot more work than I had bargained for.

In 1998, every Thursday around 6 p.m., when I had to transfer payroll from my bank account to

the payroll company’s bank account, I was secretly wishing that my business would somehow

vanish into thin air. Many contractors rely heavily on their techs’ ability to sell in the home. If upsells

and upgrades aren’t happening, the business is usually doomed. Can you imagine being a

technician and the weight of the business resting on your ability to snap out of “fix it” mode and

into “you’d better sell more or we’re going under” mode?

All I wanted to do at 6 p.m. every Thursday was to transfer the $10,000 in payroll with no afterthought

of business suicide. So I began to invest non-existent money into my technicians in

hopes that they would save my company and learn how to be great salesmen. Lead a horse to

water, and he’ll drink, right? Well, not these horses.

After training seminars, videos, inspirational CDs, and week-long conferences for myself, I was

sure that my technicians would get that glimmer of desire in their eye to march right into the

next home and come out on top with an upsell. We had success for a short time; then we went

right back into emergency mode. The ship was going under again. It seemed the magic of owning

a business was in the ability of making money vanish.

This was the very reason that we, after a few epiphanies and much research, created The New

Flat Rate Menu Pricing System. Your business should be a business you truly enjoy.

Sincerely,

HVAC, Electrical, and Plumbing Sales Are Up!

“Most of our customers are much happier with the menu pricing as opposed to our old flat rate system. The callbacks are much lower, the upset customers are much lower, & the positive reviews are continuously adding up. The program works as described & has multiplied our ticket averages several times over. We are excited to start the new year with a well-trained TNFR staff of technicians ready on staff. This program works equally as well with our HVAC, electric, & plumbing technicians within our company.”
