CEO of The New Flat Rate to Address the Billable Hour at AHR Expo 2018

The New Flat Rate’s CEO, Rodney Koop, to share strategies to make each billable hour more profitable

DALTON, Ga.– Jan. 22, 2018 – Rodney Koop, founder and CEO of The New Flat Rate, will be speaking at the 2018 AHR Expoon Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. in room S104A. Hosted by Women in HVACR, Koop will discuss “The Future of the Billable Hour.”

Koop’s particular session will help business owners take a closer look at their pricing structure for each billable hour, and offer insight into how they can double or triple their sales by making each billable hour more profitable.

“The billable hour rarely works as it should for independent contractors and home service companies,” Koop said. “Profit is consistently left on the table, but there are clear, easy steps to take to pinpoint those issues. I will be discussing three key strategies to increase the average ticket amount and ways to implement those strategies to make each billable hour more profitable.”

The 2018 AHR Expo will be held at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois from January 22 – 24. It will host more than 2,000 exhibitors and will draw an estimated crowd of more than 65,000 industry professionals.

“Contractors and home service professionals struggle every day, and sometimes when they look at their lack of profit they question why they should keep on doing business,” Koop said. “I believe the answer is in their pricing system and how they present prices to the customer.”

The New Flat Rate, founded by Koop in 2008, aims to improve the daily revenues of home service companies by providing an easy to use proprietary pricing system. Using the system has helped contractors add on average $200 to each ticket by allowing field technicians to present an intuitive menu-based system to the customer for selection of services and products. Business owners don’t have to teach their plumbers and HVAC techs to sell and upsell to customers anymore. The New Flat Rate is a selling tool that removes the stress of selling and take the guesswork out of pricing.
